Davidson County, North Carolina is situated in the beautiful Piedmont region of the state, with gently rolling hills and farmland.  Davidson County is strategically placed within an easy drive to the major cities of Greensboro, Winston-Salem, High Point, and Salisbury.  The metropolis of Charlotte is close by also, and the Chapel Hill/Raleigh/Durham area is within a two hour drive.  Davidson County offers lovely rural living and small-town atmosphere, along with all the amenities of city living close at hand.

According to the Census 2000, the population of Davidson County, NC was just over 147,000.  The county seat is Lexington. Thomasville and Denton are the area's other cities, offering community theaters, civic clubs, fine restaurants and shopping, as well as many museums and other attractions.

In Thomasville, one can see the "World's Largest Chair", a 30 foot chair designed to honor the town's furniture making industry.  Lexington is known as the 'Barbecue Capitol of the World',  and its Annual Barbecue Festival has been voted one of the top ten food festivals in the nation.

The town of Denton is a nature enthusiast's dream come true.  Bordered by the pristine Badin Lake and High Rock Lake, which is known for hosting major Bass Master Tournaments, the town is within a short drive of the mysterious Uwharrie Mountains, thought to be the oldest mountain range in North America.
